Our Culinary Adventure Retreat is from 1 full day to one week of experiences!!!

 

Relax and enjoy the rythm of Franciacorta nature with us: eat, enjoy and get off on making your special dishes!!!

  Day 1: Welcome in Franciacorta

Check in at Franciacorta Country Lodges in Bornato.
Meet the other participants in the lobby at 07:00 p.m. for a welcome aperitif, followed by dinner with Franciacorta Country Lodges’ chefs.

After dinner, Franciacorta Country Lodges will deliver the full schedule of your journey together with Franciacorta Apron.

Day 3: Bike tour around the vineyard to Lake Iseo and Monte Isola

09:00 Full Franciacorta breakfast with large continental buffet and home-made products.

10.00 Ready on the bike to discover the magical surrounding of Franciacorta. A light ride over the hills and down through the local villages with a friendly private cycling guide. The ride will take you to a beautiful Franciacorta vineyard with Iseo Lake as the destination.

We will take the boat to Mote Isola enjoyng a beautiful pic-nic lunch with stunning view.

Day 5:
Bread and pizza cooking class

09:00 Full Franciacorta breakfast with large continental buffet and homemade products.
10:00 Hands-on Italian cooking class about typical cuisine. You will make mostly several type of bread and grissini and a delicious aromatic bread from Franciacorta.
Tasting lunch with all creations.
17:00  Pizza dough preparation. You will knead out some pizza dough to be used for dinner.

Pizza party.

Day 7: Granita cooking class, enogastronomic tour to Bornato Castle and gourmet wine tasting with unforgettable aperitif

09:00 Full Franciacorta breakfast with large continental buffet and homemade products.
10:00 The final cooking class with Alessandro and Giuseppe Chef.

You will be learning how to make a proper granita to use with a Franciacorta glass for your royal aperitif.
17:00 Visit Bornato castle and its cellars followed by gourmet wine tasting with unforgettable royal aperitif.

 

Day 2: The introductory Cooking class

09:00 Full Franciacorta breakfast with large continental buffet and homemade products.
10:30 Hands-on cooking lesson with Chef Giuseppe e Alessandro followed by lunch.

This class is very important, you will start with lesson on the origins of the Italian cuisine, the main ingredients, fresh herbs, an extra virgin olive oil seminar, explaining how extra virgin olive oil is made and taste as well several wines to use in the kitchen as hidden ingredient.

You will then start cooking some of the most important sauces of Italian cuisine and traditional plates of Sicilian culinary tradition. Tasting for lunch.

 

 

Day 4: Sailing Ship of Emotion

07:30 Full Franciacorta breakfast with large continental buffet and homemade products.
09:00 Departure to our sailing ship where Giuseppe will take you through all the  basics of creating great fresh pasta, using a past machine: from tagliatelle to gnocchi, from ravioli to pappardelle.
You will enjoy your creation during lunch time  on the ship deck. All afternoon free to dive in the lake waiting for a royal aperitif with beautiful sunset.

 

Day 6:
Cheese making cooking class in our kitchen

09:00 Full Franciacorta breakfast with large continental buffet and homemade products.
10:00 Ready to start a class of ricotta cheese and tuma.
Taste a variety of freshly made products. Enjoy a brunch style of the farm’s cheeses.
Afternoon is free to relax, perhaps with a horse riding trip along neighbor villages or free to walk around the vineyard. Discover all the secret about cheese and how to use it in the kitchen.
Unforgettable Blind Wine testing dinner with a wine course with our sommelier.

Day 8:
 Our Goodbye

Departure day with a special surprise by the chefs.
